У 1991 р. закінчила Київський національний лінгвістичний університет.

У 1999 р. захистила кандидатську дисертацію (Вчена рада філологічного факультету Київського університету імені Т. Шевченка).

Випускниця докторантури Київського національного лінгвістичного університету.

Проходила стажування в Warner Pacific College (США) і Concordria University за програмою Visiting International Professors (США), а також за програмою International Leadership (США).

Навчалася за програмою University Professors Enrichment and Academic Recertification Program та у Літній науковій школі Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Німеччина).

Автор 180 публікацій у наукових виданнях України, Великобританії, Німеччини, США, Канади, Казахстану, Італії, Бразилії, Нідерландів, Угорщини, Фінляндії, Туреччини та Мальти.

Підготувала 6 кандидатів наук.
